A study of light and memory:
Beginning with the word pair dwelling and memory, I developed a series of photos that represent my thoughts about the word pair. Through a mental word association and through a series of questions about the idea of memories embedded in objects, I took an old sculpture I made, destroyed it, then reassembled it in a new way. Then I took a series of photos of different light qualities that filter through the spaces within the sculpture to replicate different light qualities that I am strongly attracted to, representing light qualities from my own memory.
A formal study of five physical elements of architecture. Mass, structure, plane, skin, and light.
